SGGURLS had it's first linkedup meeting with Shepride. Shepride is fastest growing lesbian group in Singapore with 1000 over members. Their charter now is LBTQ with SGGURLS being their honorary members. They will be celebrating their first anniversary in a fortnight. The moderators are expecting about 150 participants.
The meeting between the moderators of SGGURLS and Shepride was productive and also very instructive. Shepride has the same organizational problems that SGGURLS faced in its early years. The sad part is that these organizational problems don't go away. Finding passionate people to help has always be a challenge. The job doesn't pay and it's more of an ECA with the possibility of staking out a place in society.
Since it's impolite for me to take photo of the meet, you'll just have to make do with my pic. ha ha..
