Onset of 2025, I wanted another gurl, Sab, as a potential next leader to take over SGGURLS. That was a mistake as the anus only wanted to suck members out from SGGURLS and  flush them into her telegram chat group. In her group, called "Real Mixers" they posted non-stop porn making it almost impossible to network meaningfully. She also brought in unvetted men who just pestered gurls like me. I left the group, we had our showdown and in the end I had to shit her out. I did learn a lot about telegram. Despite our FB chat app having all the functionalities as telegram, people still preferred the latter. The reason: it's truly a mobile app that skipped most of the onboarding nonsense. All one needs is a mobile phone number.

An old dinosaur like me still have some tricks left. I brought in high quality members. The telegram group after half a year did something amazing, a first time successful dual event: movie and bar nite. The very successful event organized by Shaz, S@@H and Uncle (my lil sista).

SGGURLS 2023

SGGURLS an umbrella group that encompasses the spectrum of trangendrism in Singapore spanned 15 years to become the oldest surviving transgender group in Singapore.

The SGGURLs flag was designed by several very talented individuals who would have been stars in the graphic design world if they were not in our little marginalized world. The first design was done by Trish Leong on 2007. Her signature still emblazons the SGGURLS logo..

The design was modifed by Kayla when she was taking design classes.

10 years later, the design was improved by Carmen Victoria Love.

SGGURLS is 15 years old. It’s a testament to the principle that transgender is a spectrum and each individual chooses which part of the spectrum they are comfortable in. Why is SGGURLS different than past transgender group? There’s no leader in the group, only volunteers, organizers and clusters of friends. Secondly, SGGURLS does not point any of its participants to a particular destination such as full transitioning. SGGURLS members are very diverse. Each has very complex situation that the deal with. We don’t advise or prescribe. Each person is the captain of their lives. When we meet we talk about many things and share some of the trans hacks.

Yesterday was a very special day. An afternoon visit from a dear friend who founded SGGURLS with me. At night, a quiet celebration in a non-descript lesbian bar in Singapore’s lgbt belt with some friends. 95 clubstreet was one of our earliest favorite meeting point.

An interview with a candidate

 

I was there but you were not. So that's a zero for your candidacy. You did well up to this point.

Don't just stare and expect me to come to you. I come to the bar often and see familiar faces. You stand out so I already can guess. Don't message me when I am already in the premise. If you find me so intimidating to even walk up and say hi, I wait a couple of minutes and leave. For this night, of course, I got picked up.

3 weeks after by birthday

 Luck is a preparation to meet opportunity. Mine was 3 weeks later.  Des, my gorgeous friend whom I had the fortune of meeting a decade ago gave me a beautiful pink PVC dress for my birthday. It made my fox eyes pop out like gweilo's saucers. In my world, sexy like vinyl, leather and cuffs.

I had a date but typical...got stood up. Next time I got to get a backupdate.

COVID, bed and friends

If ever there was a disease suited for introverts and lazy butts, COVID is it. Social distancing, no visiting, are like bacon and syrup drizzled on salad.

Too much snake-in (吃蛇), no clubbing makes a sad ballad. So a masked ranger one must be, so as not to become a stranger to the outside world.

Lying on the bed all day is too tempting, reading away all the dirty fantasies perverts send me.

Humanity...

can be dim witted. Singapore was a ghost town last night not because of any government lockdown but because some kiasu people went to supermarket to buy weeks of toilet rolls. My favorite Ah Beng, Chan Chun Seng, said Singaporeans lak-sei (embarassing). I pity this minister who had to go live to report the months of supplies that the government had stockpiled because of the recent Malaysia lockdown. So when everyone is scrambling, it's a great opportunity to go anywhere but supermarkets which will be packed.

Last October there was a strain making it rounds. When I had it, I thought that many of the older folks or people who are vulnerable would be able to survive this flu. When WHO finally detected and declared existence of Corona Virus or rebranded as Covid19, I thought it was rather silly that people started reacting to it when this bugger has been around for some time. It's easier to blame bat shit than to really understand the origin of this disease. I've been to Wuhan. The market has literally been around for decades. Chinese people do eat some scary shit and they have been doing it for thousands of years. Logic would dictate it's quite unlikely that the market is the source of the virus. SARS, COVID, crazy weather, firestorm...correlated? Some bright scientist should look into that. Diseases that are locked in ice, forest or deep in the earth are being released by humans. With economics, monies and livelihood clouding the lense of judgement, it's easire to point to batman shitting on our health rather than seeing the big picture. Last year I stumbled upon this crazy Asian guy called Andrew Yang. He was running for the US Presidency. I knew he had no chance because of his skin color. As I read his stuff, this guy turned out to be a genius. He said that Trump won because he identified all the ails of America but he blamed it on trade and immigrants, hence the trade war and the wall. Andrew Yang said that most times people use scapegoat because it's easier than facing reality. If he comes to Singapore, he better sign my copy of his book. I am just going to live my life. Eat no meat as I am a vegetarian, take public transport and donate to charities when I have spare monies. Oh I love pool. Just picked it up recently eventhough I super suck at it.

A break from Fly Aeroplane

Fly Aeroplane or fang feiqi / fong fei kei (放飞机) is a Singaporean idiom of not showing up for dates or cancelling dates. 2020 was starting to look like 100% Fly Aeroplane. The reason?

A super comfy big velvet bucket seat that just holds me like a soft giant hand awaits me at home. I can just curl up and chill on Mr.Big Black Hand or MBH for short. MBH handily won over many ho-hum dates. I get nice gifts from my dates but its the dull script with the inept actor that comes after it. Can't I just get the gift and kiss each other good bye?
 
There are only a few people who can get me off MBH. One of them is my best friend for more than 15 years, Adaline. It's hard to ignore her when she comes right up to my place, honks and drags me into her car. Besides Lulu's lounge is one of my favorite joins. Two reasons for delivering me to SGGURLS monthly meet. Doppelgänger and An Indecent opportunity

I hangout Lulus almost every Wednesday night. It's a classy place.The people that frequent there are super hot. They got a great band, the hot music, the shots and the sexy bods, It's too easy to blend into the space.

A hot couple checked me out. My best experiences has been with couples. The guy came up and whispered in my ear.  The indecent proposal would be a deed by daylight and if it was not for a slight problem. The lady was my doppelganger. Only the clothes and our race separated us.  I studied her like a student cramming for exams. She was a chapter that I thought I would never ever read. What are the odds of a genetic female of the same likeness? I did freak out. I smiled and walk away. After I smacked my head, only did curiousity and regret haunt my sleep. Maybe next week, they'll be there. I'll wear my lucky dress.

Putting on a simple but elegant makeup for my date. She disappeared like a wisp for three years. In a few minutes, we'll be together again. I remember she loves red and so do I.

2. Promote only SGGURLS services & businesses. Members of Sggurls are encouraged to promote their activities and businesses on one another. Businesses and services that are legal in Singapore such as makeup services, custom-made dresses, comfortable ladies shoes (size 44+++) and event places are highly sought after. SGGURLS is making a strong comeback with a healthy ~3800 members.I am told by quite a few friends well connected in the lgbt community that SGGURLS remain the biggest trans forum in Singapore. It's no secret to SGGURLS growing numbers despite being a private group. Sggurls is inclusive and members are tought how to advertise private events so as not to make other members feel excluded. A anecdote of this inclusiveness can be found SGGURL's bank of photos. Taking a selfie is no challenge. A wefie, is more fun & inclusive. In the early days of SGGURLS, almost all the pics were wefie in public places. Though it may not seem like a lot, it was a big mindset change for the gurls who took pictures of themselves. The gurls knew of each other but were not connected. SGGURLS became a gateway to connect people. Events organised are for the SGGURLS community to say hi. There no paegent in SGGURLS, no competition for who's more beautiful. Just a place to socialise and a place to say 'hey, I am going to this place. Wanna hangout?"
  3. SGGURLS moderators.  Despite losing it's first batch of moderators, SGGURLS moderator team has grown to 14. The moderators work hard to keep the forum free of stupidity.

  5. Can I come back? Quite a few are expelled from the group in keeping SGGURLS peaceful, sane and inclusive. Every 12 months, I do the unbanning. People can return anytime, but on the promise that they don't post hateful messages, run exclusion campaigns especially from the old guards that made our admirers feel left out, or spam SGGURLS.

It's raining bullets and curling in front of the telly was a compelling proposition. But then it's been a long time since I went to the SGDOMSUBS meet even though I was one of it's founders.
