This lil diary is a canvass for my thoughts, it's probably the only cohesive chronicle of SGGURLS genesis. SGGURLS is a Singapore based umbrella transgender group founded on Oct 31st 2007 by a very unlikely group. SGGURLS started when many didn't want to live under the tyranny of a dictator who ran the only transgender group at that time. A few fun souls got together and won the best dress Halloween contest. When the announcer asked for the group's name, Adaline shouted "SGGURLS". With thunderous applause and cat calls, so it was. In SGGURLS we decided to make things right We recognize that gender is a spectrum. Each person discovers and develops their own sexuality in their own time and space. Unlike the other group, there's no end destination. A CD is no less than a fully transition woman. Another big difference is that SGGURLS is open to friends and family. Admirers are welcomed.
The Singapore trans scene is underground but vibrant. When I see Becca'Dbus with her Riot, I know the pink in lgbt is healthy. SGGURLS is seeing its millenial sistas step up and take over the reins.

SGGURLS holds events every month for it's members. To date we've organized about 144 monthly meets, another 44 informal meets. Most the gurls meet regularly. Some of the gurls have been lifelong friends. We rotate venues.
A pic today with friends who I've known for more than ten years. I've not seen Vanessa since Changi. The picture below was taken when phones and cameras live separate lives. 5.5 megapixel was the top camera tech and the debate of film vs digital still raged.

On Ladies Nite at Lulus, time was just a four letter word. We exchange news from night to morning. The live band packed up, the DJ took over, I am glad to be with my best friend and co-founder of SGGURLS. The photo below of Adaline and I was taken 12 years ago in Backstage Temple street.

Once a month, the gurls of Singapore meet up. It's a small slice in our lives where we remind each other that it's okay.
No one chooses to be transgender as much as no one ask to to born. Since we're here, the best is of what we are, should the best of what we should be all at all times. Having friends helps especially those that encourage. Everyone lives a life at a time. No one lives the same life forever. We will be born many times, the card dealt will not of our choosing. We play the game until we learn whatever that is to be learnt.
In SGGURLS, we try to provide a positive environment where people are free to express themselves constructively and positively. SGGURLS's meets are announced on our FB forum. It's never a fix place. The venue is selected by the majority. If you're transgender and in Singapore at the time, please join us. The gurls are just like you. We're happy for admirers to join us as well. I hangout Lulus almost every Wednesday night. It's a classy place.The people that frequent there are super hot.
They got a great band, the hot music, the shots and the sexy bods, It's too easy to blend into the space.
A hot couple checked me out. My best experiences has been with couples. The guy came up and whispered in my ear. The indecent proposal would be a deed by daylight and if it was not for a slight problem. The lady was my doppelganger. Only the clothes and our race separated us.
I studied her like a student cramming for exams. She was a chapter that I thought I would never ever read. What are the odds of a genetic female of the same likeness? I did freak out. I smiled and walk away. After I smacked my head, only did curiousity and regret haunt my sleep. Maybe next week, they'll be there. I'll wear my lucky dress.

Ladies night at Lulus is always a blast. Wouldn't you want to be in a place filled with gorgeous ladies gyrating your bodies. Two person didn't: Dr.Strange and the Rzezba the over-thinker..
Dr. Strange asked me if any of the original troublemakers was still in SGGURLS.Troublemaker is a misnomer. Why? Falling in and out love is human. We genuinely love each other as friends and sisters.Our love affair of 8 years didn't survive sex, jealousy and pride. The evil trio invited the evil twin of Love. Hate reared its ugly head. Hell has no fuly like bellas' scorned and the gurls laid waste to the forum. It took me almost a week to censor the hurricane of flames. As one of the founders of SGGURLS, I am probably the sole original SGGURLS in the forum. It's good to have amnesia of bad events as love and time heals. There's a beautiful Muslim adage: someone gives your first bath and someone will give you your last. Hence, we have moved on. SGGURLS is an umbrella transgender forum in Singapore for transgenders, friends and familes. It remains one the biggest local facebook group to date. While facebook uses the word group, It's not really a group but just a place where people pop in to say the wanna meet. Personally I don't like the label "pride" such gay pride, Pride is the downfall of the foolish. There is no lgbt pride in SGGURLS but lots of LGBT love. AND don't read this line with your mind on your joystick. I am still running SGGURLS but barely as I am always fighting for a rare downtime. I am hopeful to find the next super star who's loving, level headed and smart to take over. LOL, a very typical Singaporean kiasu successor mentality.
We typically have our weekly Ladies night. It's posted on our forum. Just come say by and be yourself. Don't act creepy like stare at us the whole night with your vampire cloak on. The event is open to everyone who can see the post.

A tampon stuffing slave I met. Ah my regret to meet a wetter than a soaked cat. A Lestat he was not. More a pot-smoking self-relieving sprite. Despite crystal instructions, naught he brought. I didn't like selfies especially when FB arranges it like a memorial. In the early days of SGGURLS, I always made an effort to do wefies.
When the witches and goblins disappeared from my photos in 2017 , it's like, Xzibit pimped my sex life. I had admirers coming out of the wood works wanting to f-me, lick me, eat me, suck me, kiss my feet, bed me, breed me, worship me, hogtie me, chain me, padlock me and marry me. A theme once a month made 2017 and 2018 very spicy. 2019 promised to be just as riveting. The first ladies night at Lulus where free flow of aperol & mademort was certainly a nice start to 2019.
While I still am the de-facto mascot of SGGURLS, I always looking for someone to take over.
